MARSEILLES – Tyler David Kettman, age 25, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Marseilles, passed away, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his residence in Pompano Beach.
Services will be held Noon Saturday, July 8th at Crossbridge Community Church with Pastor Kevin Donoho officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon Saturday at the church. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Tyler was born November 15, 1991 in Pontiac, Illinois, a son of Brian and Kimberly (Farris) Kettman. Surviving are his parents of Marseilles; a brother, Jacob Kettman of Ransom, IL; a sister, Madison Kettman of Marseilles; and a niece Dawsynn Kettman. He also leaves grandparents, Tom and Marianne Kettman and Monna Irvin all of Streator. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Irvin.
Tyler had a passion for cooking that he acquired from his mother. He had been employed at Galuppi’s as a sauté cook. Tyler also greatly enjoyed video gaming and design, attending concerts of the bands he loved, and developed a love for fantasy/adventure novels after he and his father had read the Lord of the Rings trilogy together as a younger child. Tyler graduated from Ottawa Township High School where he participated in tennis, wrestling, and football and he was a graduate of the Illinois Welding School.
