Gayle was born January 8, 1947 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Frank R. and Helen (Hones) George.  She married Fred J. Kline, Sr. February 5, 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa.  She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Fred; children, Karol Raymond (Robert LaPrad) of Spring Hill, Florida, and Fred (Lori) Kline, Jr. of Marseilles; a brother, Frank (Chris) George of Chillicothe, IL; and a sister, Tamara (Robert) Craig of Olathe, KS.  She also leaves grandchildren, Stacy (Josh) Stevenson, Kyle Burke, Roger (Geraldine) Conrad III, Jessica (Zach) Pastirik, Ashley Burke, Karle Backos, Austin Kline and Andrew Backos; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Gayle was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa where she enjoyed helping prepare the annual spaghetti supper as well as assisting in any area of need in the church.  In her high school years, Gayle was involved in GAA and was an avid swimmer.  She retired after enjoying 24 years of dedicated service with LaSalle County Farm Supply, which is now Grainco FS.  Gayle’s leisure time found her treasuring the time spent with her family or reading.  She and Fred remodeled their home over the years, and she always looked forward to the next project.  The family would like to thank OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Ottawa Pavilion and OSF Hospice for their kindness and compassion in caring for Gayle.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
