OTTAWA – Caroline Lee Jackson, age 76, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday morning, November 17, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Reverend David M. Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place in Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date.
Caroline was born April 1, 1942 in Ottawa, the daughter of John J. and Verlina E. (Daggett) Sanchez. She married John D. Jackson at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. Surviving are her husband, John, of Ottawa; her children, Ronald “Pat” (Donna) Jackson and Bobby (Renae Stoudt) Jackson, all of Ottawa, Tami (Kevin) McQuilkin of Marseilles, and John David (Kelly) Jackson of Willow Springs, MO; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her siblings, Pam Miskell, Marcy Monroe, and John (Diane) Sanchez, all of Ottawa; in-laws, Beth Rice, Rich and Cindy Jackson, and Brian and Julie Jackson, all of Ottawa; and close friends, Kay Fleming, Josie Jeffries, Juanita Muffler, and Beatrice Burke all of Ottawa. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father in-law, John Evans Jackson; and her mother in-law, Mabel Jackson.
Caroline was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa as well as the Ottawa Moose Lodge. She enjoyed going to the river boat casinos, her dogs, and spending time with her lady friends. Her most cherished times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
